Post Quarter Horses is a family-owned, full-service horse marketing and training business located in Avella, PA. The business is owned by John and Pat Post and operated by their daughter, Lori L. Gordon.
The business was conceived in 1987 when John Post, a business representative for 798 Pipeline Union with over 35 years experience showing, breeding, and raising horses as well as beef and dairy cattle
farming experience and his step-daughter, Lori L. Gordon, a television ad executive with degrees in Business and Communications decided to combine their horse expertise and business backgrounds to form
Post Quarter Horses.
Initially, the business was focused entirely on horse marketing. But, after successfully establishing Sales Consignment and Brokerage Listing Services, it became evident that intertwined with the
ever-growing sales services surfaced a demand for training, lessons, appraisals, and inquiries to judge.
Today Post Quarter Horses is a full-service horse marketing and training business inclusive of Training/Conditioning, Show Hauling and Coaching, Sales Consignment and Brokerage Listing Services, Riding
Lessons, Appraisals and Evaluations, and Carded Show Judging. Our students have captured Circuit
